Andrew’s third solo album “Colobraska Band” was released in December 2024. Featuring musicians he has met during his times living in Nebraska and Colorado, the music is raw with undertones of straight ahead swing. Availabe streaming the normal places and for purchase on bandcamp.
Andrew Janak to release “No Second Guessing” January 5th 2024
Andrew’s sophomore album “No Second Guessing” will be released on all streaming sites and bandcamp on January 5, 2024. Features Brian Scarborough on trombone, Gavin Allen-Dunn on organ and Bobby Wiens on drums.

Andrew Janak Hired as Instructor of Jazz Saxophone at the University of Northern Colorado
Andrew was recently hired as the Instructor of Jazz Saxophone at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. Private Lesson Openings Summer 2021
Andrew is opening up spots in his private studio for the Summer of 2021. Students of all ages/abilities levels are encouraged to reach out. Currently Andrew teaches jazz saxophone, classical saxophone, composition, arranging and improvisation (all instruments). Check out the Teaching/Resources tab for free pdf educational material and contact Andrew for inquiries for lesson times, rates, etc. For students not in the Lincoln, NE area online Zoom lessons are an option, as Andrew has significant experience with online teaching.

Andrew Janak Performs at NASA Region 3 Conference
In mid-March Andrew performed virtually at the NASA (North American Saxophone Alliance) Region 3 conference accompanied by Mitch Towne on organ and David Hawkins on drums. His set consisted of two new original compositions (“Enough” and “Too Much”) and a brand-new arrangement of Joe Henderson’s “Serenity”. The videos of the performance are embedded below.
